Let me start this post by saying, I Love Halloween!!! Doesn’t everyone? This holiday has been one of my favorites since a very young age. No, I’m not into black magic and gore (if you are there is absolutely nothing wrong with that). I think it’s the joy and lightheartedness of this holiday I love coupled, with its nod to creativity. Halloween embraces imagination and encourages ones’ need to be a free spirit. Children young and old enjoy the chance to express themselves through make up, costume, and props, if only for one night a year. I start planning (more like asking her now that she is 6) my daughters’ costume in July every year. Crazy I know, but I really do love it! I must also confess, that even now, I still enjoy a good costume and the opportunity to parade around enjoying the little ghouls and goblins and of course, princesses, as I myself am dressed to the nines.
And decorating for Halloween, don’t even get me started! Seeing the cute little spiders, bats, and pumpkins mixed with the occasional splash of bling and glitter brings a huge smile to my face. So when it came time to do some Halloween cake balls, you bet your sweet patootie I jumped right on it! I had so much fun planning and decorating these little cuties. I enjoyed every single minute of bringing my little mummy to life, creating an eerie eye ball (filled with red velvet cake of course), and adding a dash of splash with festive Halloween sprinkles. Hope you love Halloween and my little spooky creations as much as I do!
